This exam is called Praxis II, and Hiram’s education department has constructed its curriculum to ensure that aspiring teachers excel on the exam. The department’s curriculum has been revised and aligned with the performance expectations established by the State of Ohio and national teaching organizations. The criteria include demonstrating knowledge of pedagogical theory, developing effective learning outcomes, reflecting on teaching effectiveness, and many more.

Accreditation: Hiram College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Teacher licensure programs have been approved by the Ohio Department of Education.
